Ranjan faces blood test

State Minister Ranjan Ramanayake is reported to have voluntarily undergone a blood and urine test at a private hospital in Colombo in connection with his allegations that there were ministers and MPs who used cocaine.  

 He had done so to prove that he was clean and according to the lab reports posted on his Facebook, the results were negative.   


Meanwhile, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe had appointed a four-member committee headed by Minister Lakshman Kiriella and comprising State Minister Eran Wickramaratne, Prof. Ashu Marasinghe, and President’s Counsel Nissanka Nanayakkara.   


Mr. Ramanayake had undergone the blood and urine test after he appeared before the committee.
