Around 65 persons who had participated in a prayer service held at Dickoya have been quarantined for 14 days, Public Health Officer Bogawantalawa said yesterday.
These are persons are said to be residing in Bogawantalawa and Norwood police divisions and employees of several estates in these areas.
Some of them have participated in the prayer service in Jaffna recently.
A preacher who held a prayer service in Jaffna was reported to have tested COVID-19 positive when he went back to Switzerland. He is said to be a member of the Philadelphia Church.
