Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardene announced the committee on selections of the 9th Parliament yesterday.
As per the announcement made by the Speaker, Nimal Siripala de Silva, Dinesh Gunawardena, Johnston Fernando, Douglas Devananda, Dullas Alahapperuma, Wimal Weerawansa, Prasanna Ranatunga, Lakshman Kiriella, Gayantha Karunathilaka, Rauff Hakeem, Vijitha Herath and Selvam Adaikkalanathan are those apponted to the committee on selections.
As per standing order 114 of Parliament, the Speaker chairs the committee on selections.
