While addressing the coronavirus monitoring meeting President said a certain newspaper had reported that the Chief incumbent of the Sri Pada (Adam’s Peak) had told that he cannot close the Sri Pada for devotees.

Then, I talked to a certain Buddhist monk today asking whether I can meet him to discuss an issue. That monk told me that his driver had gone to Sri Pada with a group of devotees and as such he was unable to meet me,” he said. “There is no point in imposing restrictions for people in this country. People don’t care about restrictions and therefore can move about freely”, he added.
