Health authorities along with the army and intelligence have identified all the first level contacts from the Minuwangoda cluster and the areas where they are located has also been identified, government sources told Daily Mirror late last night.

Many of these areas are now under curfew to restrict movement while intelligence is now in the process of identifying the second and third level contacts. Till last night, there had been no patients detected or suspected from Colombo city, ruling out the possibility that Colombo might come under a curfew in the coming days. However, contact tracing is ongoing and the public, across the country, have been urged to adhere to the health guidelines when leaving their homes. The Minuwangoda cluster is expected to grow further as thousands more PCR tests will be conducted in the coming days.
