Government and opposition MPs yesterday complained about the non-availability of forensic audit report carried out on the bond scam and on deleting of certain information from the soft copies which were in it.
The allegation was that some segments of the report have been deleted from the soft copy, was raised by MP Harsha de Silva. Dr. de Silva said the annextures of the forensic audit reports are missing in the soft copies.
Later State Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage and Kanchana Wijesekera also called for the release of the report. “Full report of the forensic report should be made available to MPs as it is the government which is going to be blamed if it is hidden.
MP Ravi Karunanayake said the report had been released to an individual under the Right to Information Act though it is not available to MPs.
JVP MP Anura Kumara Dissanayake said there was no hard copy available at the members’ library. He also called for the holding of party leaders’ meeting to decide on a date for the debate on the forensic audit report.
Deputy Speaker Ananda Kumarasiri who responded said hard copies would be available as soon as possible. Also he assured that party leaders meeting would be held on Friday where Speaker Karu Jayasuriya would suggest a two-day debate in February.
