Jaffna Civil Society Centre demonstrates against TNA, LTTE

The Jaffna Civil Society Centre, a movement headed by Arun Siddharth, demonstrated yesterday criticising the actions of the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) and the LTTE. 

Mr Siddharth who spoke at the demonstration urged the International Community not to fall for the claims of TNA politicians. He said that the TNA members never advocated Human Rights and freedom of people. He said there was no freedom and democracy in the north before 2009, and that the LTTE carried out all forms of atrocities. “Our aspirations and grievances have not been addressed by the Tamil politicians,” he said.
