The Court of Appeal (CA) yesterday issued an interim order suspending the hearing of the Magistrate’s Court case filed against former Embilipitiya High Court (HC) Judge Gihan Pilapitiya who was interdicted on January 22 in connection with the controversial telephone conversations he had with UNP MP Ranjan Ramanayake. The writ petition was filed by Mr. Pilapitiya on March 4 seeking an order preventing his arrest.
