Indian situation will not impact SL’s import trading

The worsening Covid -19 situation in India will have no impact on Sri Lanka’s import trading on essential items except for a slight delay in shipments, an importer said. 

Sri Lanka mainly imports essential items such as sugar, chickpeas and spice varieties from India.
