Following the detection of 29 Covid patients Four villages in Chilaw GN areas isolated

Four coastal Grama Niladhari areas in Chilaw were isolated last morning, Puttalam District Director of Health Services Dr.Dinusha Fernando said. 

 Weralaboda North Weralaboda South, Kurusapaduwa and Egodawatta Grama Niladhari areas were declared isolated areas.  The DHS said that  29 CORONA infected  people had been reported from the four areas from November 12 to date. She said 6,700 people  from 990 families were living in the isolated areas and that she decided to isolate them to provide protection to the public preventing the spread of  the disease.  Meanwhile attendance in schools in the Chilaw Education Zone had declined by 75 percent. A senior official of the Zonal Education office said Corea Pura School was closed temporary when it was revealed that a student, whose mother was CORONA positive, had attended the school.
