There is a new development with regard to the extradition of former Central Bank Governor Arjun Mahendran who is wanted for the Bond Scam, Minister of Justice Ali Sabry told Parliament yesterday.
Responding to a question raised by Chief Opposition Whip Lakshman Kiriella in the House the Minister said there were new developments in the matter.
“I think there is a development with regard to the extradition of Mahendran. I have requested the Attorney general to submit information on the issue,” the Minister said.
The Minister said he will make a statement to Parliament when he receives information from the Attorney General.
