President Maithripala Sirisena yesterday barred the Ministers of bringing their mobile phones to the weekly Cabinet meetings, it is learnt.
The President took this action because a few ministers were making phone calls while the Cabinet meeting was in progress.
He said such action disturbed the Cabinet proceedings.
Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe also endorsed the President’s views in this regard.
