Bathiudeen comes to Parliament in PPE

Parliamentarian Rishad Bathiudeen, who was remanded over misappropriation of public funds was brought to attend Parliament sittings yesterday in PPE.   

He arrived in Parliament wearing a Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) meant for Covid-19 safety with the security of Prisons Department.   


He was assigned a special seat in the chamber too, which is in the far corner of opposition benches.   


Serjeant-at-Arms of Parliament had informed Health Ministry Secretary to facilitate MP Bathiudeen to participate in Parliament sittings yesterday and today.
