An Australian tourist has died after being admitted to hospital with severe injuries sustained when he fell from the second floor of the hotel in Heerassagala, Kandy where he was residing, Kandy Police said.
The victim has been identified as Peter Kenneth (77).
He had fallen from the second floor of the hotel at about 2.00 a.m. last morning and was admitted to the Kandy Teaching Hospital in a critical condition. Kandy Police is continuing investigations led by Headquarters Inspector Sanjeewa Mahanama.
