At least another month to reopen schools: Minister

• A date will be announced next week after which all schools will be disinfected and kept closed for four days

It will take at least another month to reopen schools and it will be done in four stages, Education Minister Dullas Alahapperuma told a meeting held recently at the Matara District Secretariat.    

“Schools will be reopened on the recommendations of health authorities. A date will be announced next week after which all schools will be disinfected and kept closed for four days. Thereafter, classes for O/L and A/L students will recommence. Classes for others will resume gradually,” he said.
