Man arrested with heroin worth Rs. 120 mn

A- 27-year-old suspect was arrested in Kuliyapitiya by officers of the Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) while being in possession of 10 kilogrammes of heroin believed to be worth over Rs. 120 million, police said.
They said PNB officers initially recovered one kilogramme of heroin while the suspect was transporting it in a motorcycle at Kamburapola Junction on Wednesday night.
Following questioning of the suspect, the police searched the suspect’s residence at Ambagahagedara and found nine more kilogrammes of heroin hidden in a baby wardrobe.
The suspect would be detained for further questioning after being produced in court.
