At least 39 alleged street racers were arrested along with 27 motorcycles for unauthorised racing along the Piliyandala-Kesbewa bypass road on Saturday night.
Police said the suspects were arrested following a complaint received to the 119 police emergency. It was reported the unauthorised motorcycle race was organised through Facebook. The arrested suspects were to be produced before the Kesbewa Magistrate.
