Union Bank of Colombo PLC recently unveiled a redefined banking experience at its Kurunegala branch, as part of its on-going branch development initiatives to strengthen its retail offering to customers.
The newly remodelled branch located at No. 11, Rajapihilla Road, Kurunegala, now provides even greater banking convenience with spacious banking facilities, improved experience and enhanced levels of customer engagement.
The branch was ceremonially opened by Union Bank Vice President Operations S. Sri Ganendran in the presence of a wide audience of customers and other invitees.
Speaking at the event Vice President Retail Banking Chaya Jayawardena stated, “The new layout is part of Union Bank’s expansion strategy and is aligned with our efforts to provide our customers with a redefined banking experience in Sri Lanka. An open layout such as this enhances customer convenience and creates an ambience that is warm and friendly. The redesigned branch portrays Union Bank’s vibrant persona as a rapidly progressive bank offering greater customer value. This change is pivotal and timely for the bank and is aligned to the bank’s on-going development plans with a greater focus on the retail sector.”
The new layout for Union Bank’s branches was first rolled out in January 2015 at the bank’s head office and is now being extended across its islandwide branch network.
