It is regrettable that Sri Lanka didn't qualify for the Cricket World Cup since 1979, Chairman of the Technical Consultative Committee for Sri Lanka Cricket Sanath Jayasuriya said.
"As a former Captain, I'm disappointed that we haven't qualified for the World Cup since 1979," Jayasuriya said.
Jayasuriya said that the Consultative Committee will look into these failures, adding that the recent failures in Sri Lanka cricket are a collective responsibility. “We’re not in for a fight,” he added.
