The Police fired tear gas and water cannons on Inter-University Students’ Federation (IUSF) protestors who were protesting between the Colombo University and the Thummulla Junction.
The IUSF protestors had been surrounded by the Police near the Law Faculty of the Colombo University.
Tear gas and water cannons were later fired on the protesters.
