MillenniumIT, the largest software product-engineering organisation in Sri Lanka, conducted a specially designed skill-enhancement programme for students at the University of Moratuwa.
This session, the first in an on-going series, kicked-off MillenniumIT’s long-term student development programme. The programme, aptly named ‘Transformers’, is designed to prepare undergraduates to face future social and career situations by extending and enhancing their skills beyond the scope of classroom learning.
MillenniumIT offers multi-dimensional work experience and career opportunities with prospects of working overseas. These soft skills will help transform these future recruits into global professionals with confidence and authority.
MillenniumIT CEO Mack Gill said, “The Transformers programme was created specifically to give undergraduates an opportunity to have an edge in a competitive workplace. As the global flag bearer of the Sri Lankan technology industry, we are strongly committed to taking this industry to the next level by creating a future generation of well-rounded professionals.”
The programme was attended by a cross section of students from the university’s Civil Engineering Department and was conducted by renowned speakers. This initiative will also be rolled out to other universities in the near future.
