AVIC-INTL donates living goods to orphanage

With the Sinhala and Tamil New Year, China National Aero Technology International Engineering Corporation (AVIC-INTL), a Chinese company, recently, once again donated living goods worth Rs.200,000 to the orphanage, Lawris Girls’ Home, in Colombo,.
Lawris Girls’ Home was founded by the wife of Lawris, former principal of Nalanda College and famous educationist in Sri Lanka, and has adopted more than 2,000 orphans since then. 
In August, 2014, AVIC-INTL first came to Lawris Girls’ Home and held donation activity in the name of Raise the Future with Love. AVIC-INTL Engineering, Sri Lanka Branch President Liu Hongguang delivered foods, stationary, cooking and electrical items to the orphanage and promised that they would continuously extend more help to the children at their best.
Weraman, the person in charge, appreciated the help from the Chinese friends on behalf of the orphanage. He said it was a pleasure to establish friendship with the Chinese friends and would like more help to the orphanage from the caring people from the public and other organisations.
AVIC-INTL has been promoting foreign direct investment project in Sri Lanka along with carrying out construction projects with local partners. They have attached great importance in various social welfare activities for the past five years ever since it first came into Sri Lanka, actively undertaking its social responsibilities. 
Up till now, AVIC-INTL had drilled well-tubes free for several local residents at project sites, carried out maintenance of local roads, donated stationary to the poverty-stricken students, contributed Rs.1,500,000 to the mudslide suffered districts and donated US $ 80,000.00 for the programme of Friendly Bright Trip (surgery to the cataract patients), etc., trying its best to repay the society, earnestly undertaking its social responsibility as a Chinese international enterprise. 
At the same time, AVIC-INTL has expressed full confidence to social and economic development in Sri Lanka in the future and wishes both Sri Lanka and Chinese join together as ever before to realize a new height and new future.
