Premium International (Pvt.) Ltd recently organised a blood donation campaign at the Lady Ridgeway Hospital (LRH) for children in Colombo.
This was a voluntary blood donation drive organised by Premium International in order to strengthen the national campaign, which has been initiated by the National Blood Transfusion Services (NBTS).
The initiative was jointly organised with the staff of the LRH under the supervision and support of the NBTS, whose team of medical experts was present at the event.
All Premium International employees, their families and friends were encouraged to donate blood and over 100 donors supported the cause.
The NBTS was able to collects 92 units of blood during the programme. The event was graced by NBTS Director Dr. Rukshan Bellana, LRH Consultant Transfusion Physician Dr. Dharshanika Premawardena, LRH Director Dr. W.K. Wickramasinghe and LRH Deputy Director Dr. Lalith Poddalgoda along with other medical officers at the NBTS and LRH.
