This social welfare programme had been arranged by Najeeb Deen Foundation laid with full financial initiative by Deshamanya Dr. Najeeb Deen, the Managing Director/Chief Executive of Deen Brothers Imports (Pvt.) Ltd and, the movement was guided exclusively by Jaya Guna Foundation, Seenigama with the prime objective of supporting the education of the children in the vicinity.
These presents were distributed by Najeeb Deen among all the children of the staff of the company, three hundred children of underpaid families around Matara and four hundred children who make part of Najeeb Deen Foundation.
Addressing the audience, Najeeb Deen made a particular remark that he had always been driven by the utmost desire and alacrity to be involved in such social welfare activities irrespective of race and religion of the recipients.
Amongst his many initiations are the annual distribution of books and school equipment, Vesak bath dansal, the development of religious places, the contribution to sports and the development of public places. This kind of institutions which blends in social welfare activities without focusing only on one’s own business is a great example to all other businessmen.
