Bank of Ceylon extended its support and contribution towards providing relief aid to devastated flood victims in severely affected areas.
The bank staff voluntary made donations and rendered help in every possible way to provide relief to those flood victims. It is a timely response to the national crisis that has risen
due to heavy torrential rain and
massive landslides.

Bringing hope and some relief to those who were affected, the bank staff organised six lorry loads of relief aid transported on Vesak Poya Day to areas of Seethawakapura, Kiriella, Kegalle, Puttalam and Kaduwela.
The relief aid was distributed among the affected by deputy general managers, assistant general
managers, operation managers, trade union members and staff of the
respective regions people through divisional secretariats.

“This endeavour was not a mere philanthropic contribution from
our part.
We seek every way that is possible for us to be of some assistance to those who have suffered immensely due to floods. We will continue to provide much comprehensive support for them to rebuild their lives once again.
With the direction given by the management, our staff worked relentlessly during those two days, continuously for 48 hours in their personal capacity to provide some relief to the fellow citizens.
I very much appreciate the dedication shown by our staff and everyone who joined to complete this crucial task,” stated General Manager D.M. Gunasekera.
