Thaipusam festival in KL

Hindu devotees climb 272 steps up to the temple at the Batu cave at sun rise during the Thaipusam festival at the Batu cave in Kuala Lumpur on January 30, 2010. The Hindu festival of Thaipusam,  commemorates the day when Goddess Pavarthi gave her son Lord Muruga an invincible lance with which he destroyed evil demons.  AFP
