SriLankan retires A-340 Airbus

SriLankan Airlines A-340 Airbus, the first Asian airline to operate the four-engine Airbus was removed from running today after more than two decades in service. A-340 aircraft completed its final journey from Madras to Katunayake Bandaranaike International Airport today. The Airbus has a range of over 13,000 km and it could carry nearly 300 passengers.
