Falling boulder kills lorry driver

A huge boulder that rolled down a steep hill fell on a lorry parked below to load metal at a quarry in Welipenna today. The lorry driver was killed when he was pinned under the boulder while two others were injured. Police said the boulder was many times larger than the lorry and it was with great difficulty that the driver’s body was extricated. Pix by Ratnasiri Premalal
