Preparations for Poson

People in Colombo are seen busy making their lanterns and replicas of the Mihintale Rock in view of Poson Poya Day which falls tomorrow. Poson Poya is celebrated annually with great fervor throughout the island but particularly in Mihintalae where Mahinda Thera was said to have preached the Dhamma. Pix by Kushan  Pathiraja
