Mervyn to the rescue

Pictures show, Mervyn Silva, Minister of Public Relations and Public Affairs, preventing the scheduled sacrifice of hundreds of animals at the Sri Bhadra Kali Amman Kovil in Munneswaram in Chillaw today. Minister Silva handed over the animals to the Chillaw Police. (Hiran Priyankara Jayasinghe)
