The water level of the Maussakele Reservoir has decreased significantly and the ruins of the old town which was submerged when the reservoir was built, has become visible. Flowers had bloomed in the area where there was water previously. Old places of worship visible in the reservoir have become an attraction among visitors, especially pilgrims en route to the Sri Pada. Pix by Rathnam Kogulan
