Daily Mirror Business Journalist Chandeepa Wettasinghe won a Merit award for the Business and Finance Journalist of the Year while Cartoonist Namal Amarasinghe won the Cartoonist of the Year for his cartoons in the Tamil Mirror at the Journalism awards for excellence 2016 which was held at the Empire Ballroom of the Mount Lavinia Hotel this evening.
