Sri Lanka’s first ever vegan recipe book launched

The launching of Sri Lanka's first ever Vegan recipe book by the 'Dharma Voices for Animals' organization was held on Thursday in Colombo. The first copy of the book was presented to the Chief Incumbent of the Peradeniya Sri Subodharama International Buddhist Centre Ven Wattegama Dhammawasa Thera by the Founder of the organization Mr. Bob Isaacson. This book, titled 'Arogya', contains more than 100 vegan food recipes. It is noteworthy that milk or any other animal product is not required to make any of those recipes. All arrangements have been made to distribute first 10,000 copies of this book centering Buddhist temples and other religious places island wide on free of charge basis.

Advisory Committee Member of the Sri Lanka project of the Dharma Voices for Animals Organization Dr. Chamith Nanayakkara, Director of the Sri Lanka project of the Dharma Voices for Animals Organization Miss Shanika Gamage, Coordinator of the Vegan Food Promotion Project Mr. Vajira Arandara and several dignitaries were present at the event.
