Silver Jubilee of Authority of National Gems and Jewellery was celebrated at Shangri-La Hotel in Colombo yesterday (23) afternoon under the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena.
Awards were presented by the President to the Winners of the competitions organized by Gem and Jewellery Authority and the leaders of Gem and Jewellery field.
Ministers Mahinda Amaraweera, Dunesh Gankanda, MPs Sumeda G Jayasena, W.D.J. Senaviratna Secretary to Mahaveli Development and Environment Anura Dissananaya and Chairman of Gems and Jewellery Authority Peshela Jayaratna participated in the event.
