The Hatton – Bagawanthalawa road along with four houses collapsed due to an earth slip in New Weligama, Norwood last evening following the heavy rains experienced in the area. 23 people from 05 families living in these houses have been evacuated to safety. Police took measures to relocate the villagers to safer places. (Pix by Ranjith Rajapaksa)
