Estate workers yesterday (05) found a mysteriously dead leopard in a shrub jungle in the Unifield Estate in Hatton. It was a well grown leopard of about 5ft long 3ft in height which is of a species unique in Sri Lanka.
During the recent past, several leopards of this species were found killed by death traps. The Hatton Police is investigating and said they have informed the Wildlife officials about the dead leopard. Pic Ranjith Rajapakse
