The International Military Sport Council (CISM) Day Run was flagged off at the Galle Face Green in Colombo today.
Secretary of Defence Kapila Waidyarathna attended the event as the Chief Guest, while Chief of Defence Staff Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne, Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayaka, Commander of the Navy Vice Sirimewan Ranasinghe , Commander of the Air Force Kapila Jayampathi and Senior Army, Air Force and Navy officers took the lead in the run.
Hundreds of personnel from all three services participated in the ‘CISM Day Run’ which covered a distance of about 2 km in Colombo. Pix by Pradeep Pathirana.
