The 111th birth anniversary of former president J. R. Jayewardene was commemorated at J. R. Jayewardene Centre yesterday under the aegis of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.
The inaugural speech was delivered by former Director of Department of Achieves Dr. Saroja Wettasinghe. Several Ministers and Leader of Opposition R. Sampathan were also present. (Pics by Pradeep Pathirana.)
