All Island Catering and Banquet Hall Owners Association held a press briefing yesterday where they requested the President to reconsider the Government’s decision to limit the number of persons to participate a wedding or functions. Association President Athula Kaluarachchi said they are confronted with a lot of issues with this restriction and therefore urged the President to increase the number to at least 150 attendees. "A total of 3,000 to 3,500 employees are directly depending on us and over 600,000 persons are indirectly depending on us" he said. Pix by Nimalsiri Edirisinghe
