Chinese Defence Minister General Wei Fenghe arrived in Sri Lanka last night on a two-day official visit.
He will hold bilateral discussions with President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa and senior officials. This will be the second-highest visit by a Chinese official following senior Chinese diplomat, Yang Jiechi’s visit last October.
