A group of members of the Ape Jana Bala Party (Our-Power of People Party) staged a protest opposite the residence of its Gampaha District Party Leader Jeewan Chaturanga. The protesters demanded that party leaders should not allow Ven. Athuraliye Rathana Thero to take the Parliamentary seat gained from the National List in the last General Election.
