2nd coal power plant in Trinco

The signing of a joint venture and shareholder agreement to establish Sri Lanka’s second coal power plant was held this morning at the Galadari Hotel in Colombo. The coal power plant will have an installed capacity of 500 MWs and the agreement was signed by officials from India and Sri Lanka and was chaired by Power and Energy Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka.
