The British High Commission in Colombo announced today that from 21 November, travellers from Sri Lanka would not be required to self-isolate on arrival in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. “Lifting this restriction will ease travel from Sri Lanka to parts of the UK, whilst managing the risk of further infections. This is particularly great news for prospective students wishing to benefit from the UK’s world class university system,” said the British High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Sarah Hulton in a statement.
