SLTDA kicks off training to achieve sustainable tourism development

Sri Lanka Tourism kicked off today the Sustainable Destination Development and Management Training for Provincial Officers for the National Sustainable Tourism Certification (NSTC).
 
The Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) said the training will focus on educating the participants on sustainable tourism and the development of a practical strategic action plan for each of the provinces. 
 
"An initial step towards destination sustainability from a tourism perspective. Networking through the Provincial Sustainable Tourism units will facilitate the implementation of national plans at Provincial levels," said SLTDA Chairman Priantha Fernando in a tweet today.
 
The effort is rolled out in partnership with the UNDP, USAID Sri Lanka, and EU in ,Sri Lanka.
