Sri Lanka and India are currently exploring the viability of government to government medical importation so that the island nation can have access to medicines without delays.
Minister of Health Keheliya Rambukwella held discussions with Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Gopal Baglay in this regard today.
In a Tweet, Rambukwella shared that the discussion was held with the aim of avoiding “unnecessary bureaucracy and delays”.
“Oncology medicines were spoken about in depth, as the dire need for those drugs is at an all-time high in #lka,” he Tweeted.
