Verité Research forays into investment advisory services

Colombo-based interdisciplinary think-tank Verité Research has ventured into investment advisory services, in a bid to provide prospective foreign investors with an opinion about the risks and opportunities in their chosen field of investment, backed by data and empirical analysis.

The analysis will combine three key areas important for any type of investment—economics, politics and legal aspects, and is designed to equip the clients with an overall insight about Sri Lanka’s investment climate. The advisory service will be carried out in two phases, first a general briefing about the investment climate and then a tailor-made analysis about the risks and opportunities in the chosen field of investment, backed by data and extensive research.

This could probably be the first instance where a Sri Lankan think tank provides investment advisory services combining all three aspects related to investments.

The economics advisory team will be headed by Subashini Abeysinghe, an expert in international trade. The politics team will be headed by Sumith Chaminda and legal team by Gehan Gunatilleke.

Sarinda Perera, Head of Strategy and Communications said, “Verité’s Investment Advisory Practice provides fact-based insight into the investment climate in Sri Lanka. It combines Verité’s economics, politics and law research and advisory practices into a single product to ensure a one-stop shop for prospective investors.”
