Unilever Alumni Association to hold AGM and Fellowship 2015

The first Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Unilever Alumni Association will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Grand Oriental Hotel Lotus Ball Room, Fort commencing at 6:00 p.m., followed by a fellowship dinner of the Unileverites and their spouses from 7:00 p.m. onwards.

The association was formed at a meeting held at the auditorium of the Organisation for Professional Associations, Stanley Wijesundra Mawath, Colombo 7 on October 29, 2014.  

The objective of the association is to promote fellowship amongst the members and to carry out other social service projects deemed fit by its committee. Membership is open to former management and staff categories of Unilever Sri Lanka Ltd, free of charge. Colleagues from Brooke Bond, Lipton and CeyTea also participated in last year’s get-together.  This association is a unique community and it is indeed a great tribute to Unilever Sri Lanka that past employees had seen it fit to form such an association and has kept it active.

The third edition of the Ex-Unleverites Directory sponsored by Unilever Sri Lanka Limited with about 950 local and foreign addresses of the membership will also be distributed to the members present.

Committee: Anura Perera, Asita Abeyasekera, Kamal Yatawara, Dayani Weerasinghe, Sunil Meewewa, Asanga Karunaratna, Priyantha Kolonnage, Ira Waniganayake and Jayanthi Wijesinghe.

The programme includes music provided by a four-piece band of ‘Nalin & Star Combination’ sponsored by Janatha Finance & Investments Ltd. There will also be competitions, entrance ticket draws and a gift pack with complements of Unilever Sri Lanka Ltd for each participant and many more gifts and surprises for your enjoyment.
