Uga Escapes opens Residence all-suite boutique hotel

Uga Escapes officially opened its doors to its fourth property, Residence, an all-suite boutique hotel, at No: 20, Park Street Colombo 2.
Uga Escapes, demonstrating its commitment to the luxury tourism sector, has done a total revamp of the existing property, which was built in the 19th century, and once the family home of Sheikh Salehboy Moosajee.
Its latest edition to its boutique hotel range features ten 75sqm Park suites and a 176sqm Residence suite. This is a city-centre property, conveniently located about 30km from the airport, with easy access to Colombo’s business, entertainment and shopping hotspots. Each suite consists of a living room, bedroom, en suite bathroom and outdoor private dining room and all suites are equipped with a large flat-screen TV, Wi-Fi, mini-bar, Nespresso Machines, etc.
It has a large garden, swimming pool, gym, bar and ‘great room’ and the Residence offers plenty of space to meet, relax and celebrate. The luxurious and extremely spacious bathrooms feature rain showers and oversized vanity consoles.
The ground floor restaurant at Residence offers an intimate experience as the menu features international cuisine with an emphasis on Sri Lankan ingredients and the bar offers custom cocktails, contemporary blends and international beers.
They have many services and facilities such as 24-hour guest service assistance,     business centre, doctor on call, library, foreign currency exchange and taxi services.
Speaking at the ceremony Managing Director Priyanjith Weerasooriya said they are planning to set up more luxury boutique hotels around the country as the company owns boutique properties such as Ulagalla Walawwa in Anuradhapura, Jungle Beach Resort in Trincomalee and Uga Bay in Passikudah.
