Tushara appointed Director External Relations and Surveillance at SEC

Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) official Tushara Jayaratne has been designated as Director External Relations and Surveillance.
Jayaratne joined the SEC in 2011 in charge of external relations and market development in the capacity of Assistant Director and was promoted to Director Education and External Relations in 2014.
He began his career at the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) as a Management Trainee in 1995. He was involved in trading from 1995 to 1997—during the open outcry system was in operation.
He served in different capacities such as Assistant Manager Marketing, Manager Market Development, Manager Trading and Market Surveillance and Head of Business Development during his tenure at the CSE.
Jayaratne is an old boy of Ananda College, Colombo and holds an MSc in Management from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and B.Com (Special) from the University of Colombo.
