Spice Council Founder Chairman to attend International Spice Conference in India

Sarada de Silva will attend the International Spice Conference (ISC) in Goa, India and the Business Sessions of the all India Spice Exporters Forum (AISEF) that begins today. 

Sarada De Silva who is the President of the NCE and the Founder Chairman of the Spice Council has contributed substantially to the development of the Sri Lanka Spice Industry, over the years. 

The Spice Industry of Sri Lanka which has tremendous potential for the development and increase of exports of a range of spices specially Cinnamon, has received focused attention of the government to develop value added Cinnamon Products as the leading exporter of real Cinnamon, (Cinnamomum Zeylanicum) to the world.  Meanwhile, the AISEF which celebrates its silver jubilee in 2016 has organized the first ever International Spice Conference.  

Decoding Spices in the 21st century is the theme for the ISC in 2016.  In this context, the participation of Sarada De Silva representing the Sri Lankan Spice industry, at this important conference will enable to attract International Attention on the Spice Industry in Sri Lanka to facilitate its future development and growth.
